QUIZ ON WORLD TOURISM DAY

World Tourism Day is observed on September 27 each year. According to the UN, the Day is significant in “fostering awareness of tourism’s social, cultural, political and economic value”.
The Pudukottai District Administration, Govt. of Tamil Nadu organised a quiz as an educational event on this day. Nexus Consulting was the preferred content research and hosting partner.
It was a solo quiz open to high school and college students in Tamil Nadu. The quiz was multi-lingual and to be more inclusive, it was conducted in both Tamizh and English.
The theme of the quiz was tourism and iconic landmarks from Tamil Nadu, India and the world. There were prizes worth INR 10,000 for the top three winners.
The event was hosted by Quizmaster Venky Srinivasan. Pudukkottai District Collector Smt. Kavitha Ramu gave a special address.
